after the storm

Today was the perfect day for a long hike. A storm came through our area last night and this morning and when the sky cleared, the temperature rose to about 70. This could be the last warm day for a while. Tomorrow should be about 50. Since today is Thanksgiving Eve, our offices closed early and I took advantage of the extra time, by hiking five miles or so on my favorite trail. I took these pictures along the way. A while back I told you about one section of this trail that floods easily. Well, these pictures are from that section. Some points along the trail were as much as 5 inches under water. It's days like these that provide barefoot hikers with a great advantage over those with boots.

Song 220: Maybe I'm Amazed
Artist: Paul McCartney
Album: McCartney
Year: 1970
--------------------------------------------------
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time
And hung me on a line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

CHORUS:
Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand
Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won't you help me understand

CHORUS

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
You right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
